SAF Alumni Assocation

Geoff Hayes lends his expertise to heading up the Accounting and Finance Alumni Association.  He is joined by a 20 person team of both recent grads and more seasoned veterans.  Together they help classmates stay in touch, enhance alumni allegiance to the School of Accounting and Finance, and answer questions from current students. 

The AFAA also plans events such as the reception for SAF alumni at the ICAO Convocation.

Alumni President's Message

Like alumni from many educational institutions, you’re undoubtedly all too familiar with the requests your alma mater makes of you -- “Give back to your University!”, “Donate Now!”, “Support your School!”
      
While these appeals are justifiable and necessary, as President of your Alumni Association, I want to ask you a different question: “How can your school help you?”
      
I firmly believe the alumni-alma mater relationship should be reciprocal. Yes, your school does want and need your support, but you should also feel you are benefiting from the support of your school.
      
Accordingly, the Accounting and Finance Alumni Association wants to ensure you’re receiving that support and maintaining the connections that will provide you with the value you desire and deserve.
      
To help provide better communication to alumni of upcoming events, this website will feature an updated Alumni Events Calendar. While the calendar is still in its preliminary development phase, it is a positive start to improve awareness of events and activities that can benefit alumni.
     
Over the next few months, you can look forward to events such as UW's annual Homecoming weekend, which is sure to bring lots of alumni, faculty and friends back together on campus.
     
And, of course, you’re always welcome to attend our Association meetings to share your thoughts and opinions.
