2011 Fellowship selection and interviews: The AFM Admissions Committee and the SAF Fellowship Selection Committee will be completing our assessment of all qualified candidates for Fellowship consideration by early May 2010. Students selected for Fellowship interview will be contacted by phone during the period of May 12th - 16th, 2011.
The 2011 Fellowship Interview date is scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2011. Students within driving radius are encouraged to come to campus with their families to participate in the interview process. The School of Accounting and Finance awards Fellowships to approximately 10% of each entering class of AFM students. A number of the Fellowships available for each class will be awarded to incoming students; and the remainder of available Fellowships for that class may be awarded at the beginning of year two, to outstanding first-year students. Students retain the Fellowship by maintaining an overall cumulative average of 80% and a cumulative major average of 80%. | Upper-year | Robin K. Banks/Pacioli Fellowships | $1,500 each | Two fellowships are provided annually; one to an Accounting & Financial Management student entering year three and one to an Accounting & Financial Management student entering year four. The fellowship is based on academic merit combined with contributions and involvement in extracurricular activities. Each recipient will be required to provide a maximum of eight hours per week of teaching/research assistance for faculty for one of their two school terms. Selection of the term will be at the discretion of the recipient. Fellows will be allocated to faculty members based upon faculty members requests for teaching/research assistance for a specific term. Applications should be submitted to the Student Awards Office during the 2B/3B terms. |
