Accounting and Finance Orientation Week (AFOW)  

Register for the week! There is an incredible group of leaders ready to welcome you to the SAF.

 

AFM Program Information and Academic Skills                          

Attend one of these sessions that fits into your schedule. The sessions cover topics such as: sequence of courses; regulations and policies for mid-terms, exams, and term papers; and academic success resources. Learn what it takes to be a professional student. Bring a laptop to bookmark key information on the uWaterloo website.


SAF Academic Coaching Centre


Peer coaching covers all required accounting and finance courses for first year students. Senior students staff the Centre and they welcome questions about the first year experience, upper year courses, the co-op job process.

AFM
The School of Accounting and Finance is the only English speaking professional school of its kind in Canada. We offer 2 undergraduate (Accounting and Financial Management and Computing and Financial Management) and 3 graduate (Master of Accounting; Master of Taxation; PhD in Accounting) programs to provide students with the technical, analytical, evaluative, and communication skills needed to prepare for successful careers in public accounting, finance, industry, government and not-for-profit sectors. In conjunction with the Faculties of Mathematics and Science, the School also administers 2 undergraduate programs (Mathematics/Chartered Accountancy; Biotechnology/Chartered Accountancy) and 1 graduate program (Master of Quantitative Finance).
