Angela McNeill

Angela McNeill, MAcc, CA, CIA

Angela is currently a Director of Internal Audit with Sun Life Financial. Angela is responsible for both the Canadian and Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Compliance and Human Resource activities of the Internal Audit department. Angela held roles in Internal Audit and Market Risk Management with Export Development Canada in Ottawa before joining Sun Life.

Angela has her Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) and a Masters in Accountancy from University of Waterloo (1994). She obtained her CA in 1995 and spent her formative years as a CA with Price Waterhouse. After many years working in Internal Audit Angela decided to obtain her Certified Internal Audit designation which she achieved in 2006.
Angela has been on the external judge’s panel for WATcase competitions for the School of Accounting and Finance in 2005 and 2007.

On a personal note Angela is married to her husband Steven Miller, also a University of Waterloo graduate. Angela and Steve have two children – Margaret and Eric and reside in Waterloo. Angela’s other interests include gardening, photography, painting and spending time with her family.
