David Forster, BMath, FCA

Dave is the Managing Partner, Greater Toronto Area for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and a member of the firm’s Canadian Leadership Group. In addition to his management responsibilities, Dave serves as the senior relationship partner for a number of the region’s significant clients.

Dave was formerly the National Managing Partner of the firm’s Technology, Information and Communications and Entertainment & Media Practice. Dave joined Coopers & Lybrand, a predecessor firm to PwC, as a co-op student in 1975. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and become a partner in Coopers & Lybrand in 1987. Dave worked in the London UK office of Coopers & Lybrand and previously led the firm’s International Tax practice.

Dave became a Fellow of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants in July 2006.

Dave is a Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Canadian Opera Company, the Canadian Opera Company Foundation and The National Club. He was previously a Director and Vice Chair of The Toronto Board of Trade.

Dave has been active in community affairs and sits on the Major Individual Gifts Cabinet of the United Way. Dave was an active volunteer in local youth sports programs and a competitive hockey coach in the Greater Toronto Hockey League. He is married with three children and enjoys participating in a variety of sports, including hockey, golf, squash and tennis and the opera.
