Derek Chu, MAcc 2005, CA

Mr. Chu is a Chartered Accountant and graduated with a Masters degree in Accountancy from the University of Waterloo in 2005.

He worked as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the audit practice prior to joining Deloitte and Touche LLP as a Senior Associate in the Transaction Services group performing due diligence on M&A transactions.

Mr. Chu joined Scotia Capital Inc.'s Investment Banking group in May of 2007 and worked within the Power and Infrastructure sector Derek has worked heavily in both the renewables and traditional utilities sector on a series of engagements involving equity offerings and M&A transactions. Derek works closely with organizations such as Canadian Hydro Developers, Brookfield Power, Kruger Energy, and Fortis Inc. Derek has also acted in a debt advisory role on several inaugural debt offerings in the power space.
