Eric Borromeo

Eric Borromeo, MAcc, CA, CFA

Originally from Ottawa, Eric earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Chartered Accountancy Studies degree in 1989 and a Master of Accounting degree in 1990 from the University of Waterloo. He obtained his Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designations in 1991 and 2001, respectively.

Eric is currently Vice-President at BNP PARIBAS (Canada), a French-owned Schedule II bank, where he is responsible for origination, structuring and ongoing portfolio management of a significant portion of the Bank's Leveraged Finance Division. His activities encompass all aspects of corporate lending as well as advising clients on other products and services that may benefit their operations and financial management. Most deals involve growing mid-sized companies that either require debt capital to grow further or are working on some form of buyout or recapitalization in conjunction with a private equity sponsor group.

Prior to joining the Bank, Eric worked at AGF Management Limited in the internal audit function and in public accounting at Fenn Beattie Masterson and Doane Raymond (now Grant Thornton) where he articled.

Eric, his wife, Jane, and son, Justin, live in Toronto. In his spare time, Eric has ongoing involvement in ministries at his church and had spent a number of years on the Finance and Audit Committees of The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada and fundraising for Providence Healthcare. He also enjoys cycling, skiing, and recently began playing golf.
