Glen Feltham, PhD, LLB, CMA, FCMA
In July of 2004, Glenn Feltham moved to Winnipeg to assume the role of Dean of the I.H. Asper School of Business and CA Manitoba Chair in Business Leadership, at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Feltham has undergraduate degrees in business and in economics, a master’s degree in business administration, a law degree from Queen’s University, and received a doctoral degree in accounting, specializing in taxation, from the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo in 1995. Dr. Feltham was formerly enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Law Society of Alberta, and is a Certified Management Accountant (Manitoba). In 2005 he became a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada.
Dr. Feltham was President of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association in 2004-05. He has worked extensively with Canada’s three accounting bodies, and is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of the CMA Canada Research Foundation. He further serves on several boards including the Winnipeg Airports Authority, the Crown Corporations Council of Manitoba, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Dr. Feltham has significant background in building and administering innovative programs, and managing people in university settings. Prior to joining the Asper School, he was the Department Head of Accounting at the University of Saskatchewan (where he also held Potash Corp. Chair for Saskatchewan Enterprise), and had previously been the Director of Undergraduate Business Programs in the School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. Feltham has published extensively in the areas of family business, tax planning, tax policy, and financial disclosure.
