Juli-ann Gorgi (née Kapsa), MAcc, CA

Juli-ann Gorgi (née Kapsa) received her BA in Accounting, as well as her MAcc degree from UW in 2003. After graduation, Juli-ann worked as an Audit Manager at Deloitte. Juli-ann served both public and private telecommunications, manufacturing, and consumer business clients. Juli-ann then accepted a consultative role within Deloitte's Complex Accounting Transaction Expertise ("CATE") Audit Group, where she provided advice on internal control over financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Act issues. Presently, Juli-Ann works at Deloitte National Office, where she supports the practice on Canadian GAAP, IFRS, and GAAS matters.

In addition to being the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the UWAAA, Juli-ann is active in the community. Juli-ann guest lectures at UW in the Advanced Auditing Course of the MAcc Program each summer and is a member of a neighborhood recycling group.

Juli-ann also volunteers at the ICAO, promoting the CA profession to high school students. At work, Juli-ann co-chairs a program to facilitate networking opportunities between female accounting professionals and lawyers.

Juli-ann also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, skiing, scrapbooking, and event planning.
