Marrianne Bridge, BMath, FCA
Marrianne Bridge graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BMath in 1981. She obtained her CA designation in 1982 and was elected a Fellow of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) in June 2009.
Marrianne started her career in 1977 with Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche, LLP) in Toronto as a University of Waterloo cooperative student. She joined the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) in 1983 in the Corporate Finance branch. From 1987 to 1999, she was Securities Administrator with Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg, LLP (law firm). Marrianne returned to the OSC in 1999 and is currently Deputy Director, Compliance.
Marrianne has been actively involved in the CA profession for many years including:
- member of Council of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants
- member of various committees of Council (member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Audit, Bylaws Review, and Award of Distinction Committees, member of the Bylaws Review, and Finance Committees, and member of the Public Accounting Licensing Board)
- previously Chair of the ICAO Discipline Committee.
Marrianne is also active in her community. She’s involved with, or has been involved with, the Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Division (board member), St. John Council for Ontario (Resources Committee member), Community Head Injury Resource Services of Toronto (board member and Treasurer), and a community church (Treasurer and board member).
Marrianne lives in Toronto and is married to Mark Oxley, a fellow CA. Mark has three daughters, Julia, Jennifer and Alexandra, and Mark and Marrianne have three grandsons, Lex, Kayden and Kaleb. Mark and Marrianne enjoys travel, tennis, and golf.
