Mary Jo started her career with Thorne Riddell in 1983 as a student, and became a full time employee in August 1988 with Thorne Ernst & Whinney. Mary Jo graduated with a Masters in Accounting, University of Waterloo 1988, and became a Chartered Accountant in 1989. She is involved in numerous volunteer organizations. She has served as the Treasurer for the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Grand River Hospital and Freeport Health Centre Volunteer Association. Mary Jo currently serves on the Board of Directors of the KPMG Foundation. Mary Jo enjoys Figure Skating, Golf, and Charity Fund Raising.
Mary Jo has eighteen years experience in KPMG's Enterprise practice and has accounting and business advisory experience with a variety of privately owned and operated, small to mid-sized businesses involved in snack food manufacturing/distribution, national retail franchising, real estate development, golf course and resort operations, and the hospitality industry.
Mary Jo is a former part-time Faculty member, Wilfrid Laurier University, School of Business and Economics.
