Quoc Hoang - MAcc 2003, CA

During his time at the University of Waterloo, Quoc developed life-long friendships and a strong educational base to launch his professional career. He graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts and in 2003 with a Master of Accounting.

Quoc is a strategy and operations advisor within Deloitte in Edmonton. Quoc supports his clients by helping them articulate what they want out of their finance functions, enabling them through effective processes, structures and technology, and implementing the corporate performance mechanisms needed to understand if they are tracking towards their goals. He is also actively involved in growing the local office’s consulting practice through the recruitment and retention of talent. Prior to joining Deloitte’s consulting service, Quoc worked as an audit manager in Toronto, leading teams serving publicly-traded, public sector and privately-owned organizations.

Quoc is happily married to another UW alumnus, Kris Hoang (née de Leon). Together, Kris and Quoc currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, where they now have the luxury of taking short drives to see the Rockies. In his spare time, Quoc loves to seek and document his culinary adventures. He often combines his love for food with personal travel in order to seek out memorable meals across the world.
