Tim Jackson is a partner at Tech Capital Partners Inc., a company that manages $85 million in venture capital funds focused on early stage technology companies in and around Waterloo, Ontario.

Prior to co-founding Tech Capital Partners, Tim was Chief Financial Officer (and at times acting Chief Executive Officer) of PixStream Incorporated. He was instrumental in the completion of several rounds of equity financing totalling more than $60 million and was responsible for negotiating the sale of PixStream to Cisco Systems for approximately $550 million.

Tim graduated from the University of Waterloo, Honours Accounting program in 1991 and received his CA designation in 1992.

In 2005, Tim was appointed to the Board of Governors of the University of Waterloo. He supports UW in several other capacities including: as Chair of the University's Finance and Investment Committee, as a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Business Entrepreneurship and Technology, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the UW Research & Technology Park Accelerator Centre and as a member of the University’s Audit Committee.

Tim sits on several corporate boards, as well as various charitable and not-for-profit organizations including The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, the Waterloo Public Library Board, and the Waterloo Regional Children’s Museum.
