This change and complexity has increased the need for professionals with a focus on IT risks, controls, business development strategies and change management processes. Of paramount importance in this environment is a high level of knowledge of both IT and business processes.

The University of Waterloo School of Accounting and Finance Graduate Diploma programs have been designed to address these issues.

The IT Diploma programs provide a superior professional education for students who aspire to a career involving IT in public accounting practice, consulting, industry or government. The programs provide students with an opportunity to acquire advanced academic and professional knowledge in business applications of IT as well as basic and applied research skills.

The IT Diploma programs

Two programs are offered. The Diploma in Business Information Technology is designed to develop professionals with a business-oriented approach to IT strategy and implementation.

The Diploma in Information System Assurance is designed to develop professionals with expertise in information systems audit, control and security.

Earn while you learn – The Diploma programs are offered on a part-time basis through distance delivery over the Internet allowing you to continue your full-time employment while participating in the programs.
