Computer-Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs) for XBRL

The University of Waterloo Centre for Information Integrity and Information Systems Assurance (UWCISA) is offering a workshop on Quality Assurance for XBRL-Related Documents and Computer-Assisted Auditing Techniques in conjunction with the XBRL Canada Fourth Annual Conference Oct 6-7, 2010.

Led by: J. Efrim Boritz, University of Waterloo and Won G. No, Iowa State University

 

Target Audience: This workshop would be of interest to auditors and others interested in quality assurance issues surrounding XBRL-Related Documents.  

 

Location/Date: Toronto Convention Centre/October 7, 2010.

 

Fee: $150 - this covers all three sessions, including lunch and mid-afternoon refreshment break.

Program: The general focus of the workshop will be on quality assurance for XBRL-tagged data.

The workshop will consist of three 90 minute segments, separated by a lunch and break, running between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Please note that we will administer a brief survey on assurance knowledge / skills possessed by the participants and the perceived value of the computer-assisted audit techniques demonstrated during the workshop. (Responses will be anonymous and will only be reported in aggregate.)
